I learned today that my sister's friends lost all of their kittens. Apparently, the weather turned cold, the mother stopped producing milk, and hand-feeding didn't work. :(

Last week I got my first chance to really use Windows Vista. My grandmother got a new PC with it installed, and was having a rough time with the thing. It's filled with weird, arbitrary changes, slow eye candy, and a frustrating veneer of security. If I had known she was getting one I'd have made sure it had XP or steered her toward a Mac. Oh well, I guess there's always trying to get a downgrade out of the manufacturer.

Daily things
  • 90 oz reguar water
  • 10-16 oz. mineral water
  • 1 wheatgrass cube or 1 oz. wheatgrass juice
Meal 1
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 scoop whey protein powder
  • 1 tbsp. flax oil
  • ½ cup blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries

Mix with water and let sit overnight.

Meal 2

Same as meal 1, but use 1 tsp. cod liver oil and only ½ cup oatmeal.

Meal 3
  • 4 oz. chicken breast
  • 6 oz. sweet potato, yam, or purple potato
  • 1 cup broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, or other high-quality veggie

Cook in extra virgin olive oil.

Meal 4

One of the following bars: Organic Bar, Pure Bar, Lara Bar, Daryl Bar, or Zero Impact Bar

Meal 5
  • 4 oz. organic poultry or 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, leafy greens, asparagus)
  • ½ cup whole grain rice or ½ medium sweet potatoes on high-carb days, none on low-carb days
Meal 6
  • 4 cage free egg whites, 1 yolk
Cook in ½ tbsp. extra virgin coconut oil
  • 2 pieces sprouted bread on high-carb days, mixed bell peppers and onions (Strike that ingredient. I hate onions) on low carb days

Alternate high-carb and low carb days.

So far, it's gone well, and I should start seeing big results in the next week or two. The biggest trouble I've had is work tempting me with thing like cake, cookies, bagels, donuts, and pizza. Oh, and I'm having dreams about sweets now.

Poor kitties :-(

Wheatgrass? Ugh.

Crikey, dude, that's pretty hardcore. A lot of it is more or less the same thing I was doing (esp breakfast and lunch), but I mix things up with a lot more fruit and dairy. I suppose I'm eating more sugar that way, but the calories have to come from somewhere. I was eating about that much when I was losing weight, so I'm sure you'll be razor-defined at that rate o.0
Has your trainer recommended more protein? For the final round of updates mine put me on the mega-protein dealio, and I THINK it's helping...a little.

Good luck. Dream about a sixpack, it might help ^ ^;;

Apparently, it tends to happen to litters born at this time of year. Being barn cats probably didn't help. (My sister's friends run a barn, where they train horses.) Their animal-related luck was also scheduled to run out after they had all of their metric %#$&ton of baby ducks survived.

Fresh wheatgrass juice is somewhat drinkable. It has a slightly sweet taste, and I only have to drink two tablespoons of the stuff.

My trainer said it was a toned-down version of what bodybuilders go through when cutting.

Yeah, fruit and dairy mean more sugar. That's why I was told to eliminate them. When I'm done with this diet, I'll share what I'll be eating next.

Eventually, I won't have to dream. Once I've been on this diet for a couple weeks, I'll supposedly see the change daily.

Awwww :-( Moral, kitties? Practice safe sex during...uh...actually, I don't know what a cat's gestation period is...

Really? So why do they always offer it available with chasers? XD

Toned-down, HA, you made a funny. Srsly, well, I can see why it works. I was eating less dairy and fruit when I went through the weight loss. Not looking forward to it next summer...

DAILY? Yikes.

PS, I need to ask [livejournal.com profile] ccroft what his diet plan is. It's crazier than yours. And like...twice as much, given his size, I guess x.x

I wouldn't mind hearing it too. He's definitely doing something right.

The one downside to being hyooge is the amount of food it takes to stay that way.

I think it's 3 months or something, not that kitties will listen. If they did, they wouldn't be felines.

Sometimes, it doesn't hurt to make it more palatable. I'm allowed to mix it with a bit of juice, but don't want to risk throwing the diet off.

Apparently, competitive bodybuilders have even more restrictions so they can get lean fast for contests.

Waking up every morning to better abs should keep me motivated.

Is my furry licence revoked for laughing at the notion of dead kittens, or am I just issued with a "Heartless bastard" licence? XD
Umm, I mean, sorry. But couldn't you pick up a cat from a shelter or something? Then you'd be saving one from being put down.

Yeah, I've heard that you're better sticking with XP than going for Vista. Thanks for confirming this.

Oh MAN. Your discipline is amazing. I'd barely be able to muster the effort to PREPARE those things, let alone eat them and avoid sweets at the same time. x.x

Yes, exactly. :-p

I was going to get a kitten from the humane society, but when I found out that people I know happened to have a pregnant barn cat, I figured I'd just get one from them.

Better is putting it mildly; although, there is one minor change that I liked. "My Computer" is now just "Computer". It should cut down on the people saying, "But how can I click your computer," to the tech support folks.

Preparing them is the hard part. There are only so many ways you can make some of that stuff. Thankfully, the only things I'm not fond of are sweet potatoes and onions. Only ~7 more weeks of this and I should have abs.

Awwr, too bad about the kitties. Its so sad. >:

Well, I know some people continue to find XP the best for their uses, but I think I've adapted to Vista rather well, plus it has some functionalities that make it a lot faster to browse thruogh than XP once you get the hang of it. But that's just my opinion.

Whoa, that's some diet. Kudos if you have that much discipline. I have a hard time just staying away from sweets and pop. >_

I think I feel worse about it than my sister's friends do.

There are other more nerdy reasons I despise Vista, but hearing them would probably put you to sleep. It sped up a lot once I turned off the eyecandy. For a while, it was taking at least a minute for Word to start.

The diet has been surprisingly easy to follow so far, and I'm known for my sweet tooth.
