Giftcardage

exatronI went to my company's big Christmas party on Friday night and had a decent, but exhausting time.
There were a lot of people there and it made me realize that the office's layout kept me from getting to know many of them. Everybody's divided up into cubes with high walls or blocked off by the building's weird design.
I did manage to win a $100 gift card during the evening. I'd have preferred the high definition TV they raffled off, but a gift card I can use anywhere is still nice. I'm still trying to figure out who or what I should spend it on, but it should probably be a gift for someone else.
The club where the party was held was interesting, and a bit crowded. I ended up leaving early because the music was too loud for me to tolerate for long.

Date: 2006-12-18 05:33 pm (UTC)I was thinking family or a good friend. I may even take a cue from a former coworker and give the money to charity in another person's name.
I seem to be unusually sensitive to sound, especially certain frequencies. The party was definitely fun since I got to know the people around me a little better.
