Today I learned that one of my coworkers quit; unfortunately, it was the coworker who was helping me test a very large and complicated application for the client. My boss will be helping me test the remaining portion of the application; however, I also have to take over some of this former coworker's applications, and his leaving simply accelerated my company's plans to reduce our team by one member. There are now three of us on the team, excluding my boss and one of my company's higher-ups, so I probably won't be able to take time off until I'm either unassigned or on my next project for a little while.

To add to the trouble, I upgraded my operating system yesterday and now my soundcard doesn't work, so I don't even have access to my music collection to keep me calm and relaxed.

My trips to the gym have been going fairly well. I'm getting stronger, I think I'm starting to develop decent triceps, and my personal trainer noted that I have better forearms.

I'll post more art later when I feel like I can say I've made progress.

I hear ya, I know how that goes at work.

But :::pout::: Why is everyone else having better results at the gym than me? I actually AM going to get a trainer now that life is calming down a bit...

It got worse today. One of my remaining coworkers has jury duty, so she won't be in for the rest of the week, and there are now two large applications that I have to finish testing by the end of Thursday.

I'm not the best person to compare your results to. I tend to learn and adapt very quickly- so quickly that studying and practice are almost foreign concepts to me.

If it helps, I kind of set myself back a little bit tonight because I didn't have an adequate snack before my personal training session. Running out of energy partway through a workout can be very messy.

And I just realized that I forgot to describe my personal trainer to you. He's broad and fairly thick (particularly around the chest) with big, meaty calves.
