Back from AC. Much fun was had, especially since I shared a room with [livejournal.com profile] ski_fox, [livejournal.com profile] mapdark, and [livejournal.com profile] the_zookeeper.

My first day included an unexpected trip to the airport for Zookee since ski_fox had car trouble. The trip had me stressed out since I didn't know quite where I was going, which triggered a flashback to my first drive in downtown Detroit. Returning to the hotel was easier despite some really heavy rain.

The i.s.o. t-shirt I made went over well; although, I forgot most of the tips [livejournal.com profile] mammallamadevil had for improving the design. That's technically a moot point, though, since I don't intend to make more unless mine gets ruined in the wash. (I'm actually afraid to put it in the laundry.)

V's drawing males panel was fun, even with the crazy people in the first row. I also made sure to continue the tradition of taking the stack of sketches he did during the panel. It's a recent tradition, only one year old, but a tradition nonetheless.

Rob Paulsen's panel was great, and filled with interesting trivia. He only recorded two takes of Yakko's World, and the first one was used for the episode.

The supersponsor luncheon was delicious.

I got to help run Zookee's panel on Saturday. (I think it was Saturday, at least) I think it went well, despite Laserbeak failing me. (Now I can't use one of Megatron's lines from TFTM to describe 'Beaky any more.)

Saturday night was spent at at a gay club. It wasn't the meat market I was hoping for, and clubs aren't really my thing, but I still had a good time, and it was something I needed to experience.

Sunday was lunch with [livejournal.com profile] invisiblewolf, collecting sketchbooks and badges (scans coming after I get some rest), and watching the con wind down.

Weird how I totally missed all the rain.

If you need anything for the shirt, lemme know. Heck, if it's an easy enough process maybe I *should* start selling some shirts.

What on earth do you DO with all those sketches?

Ech, we need to take you to a better club next time.

Again, sorry I missed you Sunday night =X I thought y'all were saying you were heading back to the hotel, but I guess once you guys found Jen everyone stayed in the zoo longer. Glad ya made it back safely!

My guess is that your flight arrived just as it stopped. Plus, you may not have noticed if you didn't have a window seat.

It was only easy for me because I only made one and used an iron-on design. Mappy noticed that one corner was coming loose after only a day of wear. If there's a next time, I'll do silk screening, which I'll look into out of curiosity, and get both you and Kerry involved from the start.

They make good references when I'm feeling artistic, and they make good wallpaper for the shrine. (Yes, that last bit is a joke.) I will admit that part of the fun is the act of taking them. Plus, it's a tradition.

Yeah, apparently we had the wrong place, which is weird since I was with Zookee when we checked its website.

Don't worry about it. I thought we were going back too. And I prefer see-you-next-times to good-byes, anyway.

I'm the one who should be apologizing since I forgot to buy a sketch from you.

The ground was wet, but it looked as if it had stopped awhile back.

Silkscreening is a lot more expensive, and may require better res artwork. Not sure, but that's what the original CM shirts were like and that's what I remember from 'em.

. . . XD

LOL! Really? Okay, so DID we end up at a lesbian bar then? ^ ^;;

Okie.

Heh, things were going so poorly there I don't know if I'd have finished it :-/

Oh well, it was an adventure, and the rain made a good excuse for controlling my speed.

I can see why since the front would need to be in full color, and a bit bigger, per Kerry's suggestion. The expense might be worth it since a shoddy product could mar i.s.o.'s reputation. Maybe shelve the idea until I can do some research and gauge interest without giving people expectations.
