There's a good chance that I'll have a cat soon.

One of my sister's fellow employees rescued a kitten that was almost hit by a car. Part of its tail has been stripped to the bone, and will probably need to be amputated, but it's a cute, playful thing. The people who took it in can't keep it because their lease doesn't allow pets.

I think I'm ready for a cat. The only issue with this one is that it looks a little too young, and I'm not sure I'll have the time to care for a kitten of that age.

EDIT: Turns out, he's only four weeks old. That means he'll need a lot of extra care, and the best place for that is the humane society. I probably won't be able to get him, but I'll keep looking for a kitten I can adopt.

Shame about the poor thing's tail, but at least he's alright! I hope you're able to take him, but sympathize if you decide not to. I love cats ridiculously, but have yet to get another one because if I got one, it would have to be a kitten - and I am not sure I have all the time the growing plot-head would need.

The people who found the little fuzzball learned that it's only about four weeks old, so they took it to the humane society for proper care until it's old enough to adopt. Unfortunately, I don't think they can reserve animals for that long.

Never owned a cat so can't say for sure. But hope yer decision works out for the best!

The decision was essentially made for me since the people who found it learned that the fuzzball's only four weeks old. He'll be cared for properly at the humane society until he's old enough to adopt.

Those pictures are cute enough to require a warning label!

Yeah, he's a dangerously cute little thing. He's too young to adopt, so he'll go to the humane society until he's older. It means I probably can't take him since I doubt animals can be reserved for that long, but he'll get adopted really fast.

Ummmm... yes, kittens are wonderful things to have, but yes, they need a bit of watching after. I hope you're able to get him, but if not, then it happens.

Yeah, and the four-week-olds, like that little one, need enough that it should be left to the professionals. The humane society is the best choice for him.

EEP! Okay, I'll tell you where it came from. Just make that evil thing go 'way. It's from "The Stupids", a series of picture books. The Stupids had a dog named Kitty and a cat named Xylophone.
