Finally settling into a routine
Dec. 8th, 2006 08:53 amIt's been a few weeks since I moved into my new place, and I think I'm finally settling into a nice routine.
My place seems to be in an optimal location since almost everything is only a couple miles away. Places to find a proper couch or futons are hard to come by, but I'll get one eventually.
Sleep is no longer an issue since I'm pretty sure I've had more REM sleep since moving than I've had since the beginning of the year.
My new gym is very nice, and the staff has helped me fix a few issues with my form (My traps were doing more work than they should have), as well as helping me revamp my entire workout routine. This place feels like it has about three of every machine and weight you could want. I also took a bit of time to watch some of the classes held there. One of their martial arts programs looked interesting, so I picked up a flier for the stuff they're starting in January.
The recent wave of cold and snow has had one unpleasant effect- the air has almost no moisture, making me thirsty all the time and causing my knuckles to get dry and cracked, but at least we have snow.
And I picked up Looney Tunes Golden Collection volume 4. It's nice so far, but I really don't like the overlapping disc trays. They may save some space, but I shouldn't have to take out one disc just to get at another.

Date: 2006-12-08 04:01 pm (UTC)I know, but I'd like to keep things in balance, and I think it was hindering my progress elsewhere.
It's the powdery white stuff you never see.
Cost is probably to blame since the things are popping up everywhere, even with two-disc sets.
And whatever happened to Gargoyles S2 part 2 on DVD?

Date: 2006-12-08 09:00 pm (UTC)Yeah, and around here, most leases are 1-yr minimum to start, I can't imagine what kind of problems that could lead to with your contracts.
I guess. I personally just want results ANYWHERE...
Oh, okie ^.^
At the con this summer, it was admitted Part 1 sales were okay, but not spectactular. They're not going ahead with #2 unless they're sure it'll sell, and that may be an uphill battle now.

Date: 2006-12-08 09:18 pm (UTC)I was able to get a 6-month lease at a slightly higher price, probably because I'm so close to Michigan State University.
I've seen what you look like. You're getting results, but may not realize it since you see yourself in the mirror every day.
:::Pelts you with a few snowballs.:::
I wonder if anybody has done research on dividing seasons up like that. It's possible that sales weren't spectacular because some people want to wait until they can get both halves.
