Some people have no sense of humor

The Detroit Zoo's baby wolverines were renamed after complaints from angry U of M fans, once again demonstrating that they can't take a joke. Bucky and Sparty were perfect names.

I should threaten to cancel my zoo membership over this. Of course, I don't actually have a membership, but they don't have to know that.

Son of a Diddly

Work was fun today.

I and two others have to test the second phase of a rather large web-based application; unfortunately, a data refresh was performed the night before, which wiped out out test IDs. I spent the better part of the day just trying to talk the application team through restoring my access, despite the IDs of the other testers, and my boss, being restored with little fanfare.

We were already a bit behind due to a flaw in Internet Explorer (IE only allows 20 cookies per domain, and the application's form data was almost always number 21, preventing some users from submitting information) and trouble getting the app team to provide current test cases, and now I lost a day because I couldn't actually get into the system.

To top it all off, it rained a bit on the way home, so traffic ground to a halt on Telegraph road between Maple and the cancerous growth where Telegraph, I-696, M-10, Northwestern Highway, and 11 Mile converge.

There isn't much to report on the art front. I'm slowly training my hand and brain to work together, and I'm going to try drawing my idea of what BT/Alt Wheeljack should have been once I find the pictures I took of the Ford GT at the auto show in January. I think my sister has the camera they're on.
