A somewhat busy weekend.
Dec. 4th, 2005 07:31 pmMy workout on Sunday went great. The details are kind of boring unless you want to hear about my legs responding really well or the nice views I had while waiting to use some of the machines.
On Saturday, I helped my sister hook up her new TV. It's a good thing I've been working out since that thing was large and heavy. I also got a new coat since I was tired of struggling to make my old coat's zipper work.
My sister's cat is definitely weird. It chirps and likes to lick my sister's ears and nose at about three in the morning. It was also banished to another room once for waking up really early and trying to get my sister to play by pressing its paws into my sister's throat. For some reason it's developed a fear of people, so it basically ran from me the entire time I was there, but hopefully it will get used to me in the future.
And the cat finally has a name- Emerald, or Emmy for short. I'm thinking of calling it something else so I can continue a tradition my cousins started several years ago.
When my youngest cousin got a cat for her birthday, she wanted to name it "Cuddles". Naturally, her brothers objected because it was a male cat. Their choice of names was "Rocky", and it basically stuck. (I'm not sure if anyone besides me even remembers the original name.)
Years later, after Rocky was no more, my aunt and uncle got another cat and named it "Chance". When my grandmother saw the new cat, she immediately noticed that it had a white tip on its tail. Being an impish thing, she decided to call the cat "Tippy", and my aunt and uncle now refer to it as "Chance/Tippy".
