This weekend has been good to me so far.

Thanksgiving went well. Everbody liked my part of the food preparation (the rolls and an apple pie), my grandmothers didn't do any meddling or nitpicking for once, and I enjoyed listening to my relatives complaining about the Lions game.

I managed to make myself scarce when my parents started showing pictures from their trip to Hawaii and used the time to draw.

After relatives started going home, my sister and I watched the Farscape episode "Won't Get Fooled Again." I never noticed it before, but I prefer doing things with other people when I can.

My trip to the gym on Friday went really well, even if I did arrive a few minutes later than I wanted because I had to stop and enjoy the snow.

I finally got Inkscape 0.43 to install. Now all I have to do is convince Metroplex to recognize the tablet I "borrowed" from my mother and I can start using the program to revise my icons a bit and do other interesting things that you just can't do well with a mouse.

Here's the latest drawing I've been working on. It definitely isn't finished and has a few problems, but at least I can say that I drew it and inserted the stars.

Yyyyeah, I'm going to have a terrible time keeping up now x_x

Good Thanksgivings rock (I'll assume, mine was blah for obvious reasons).
Sociableness kicking in? Good. For the longest time I looked forward to being able to afford living alone. Now that I've done that and the roommate situation, I'm not so sure. I hope that means progress for ya.

You named one of your computers (hard drive?) Metroplex? Excellent. XD Name any others? Good luck learning a tablet, I still hate using that.

I really, really, really, really, really hate to say this. The pic looks good; anatomy is solidfying nicely, the pose looks very natural, and his choice of outfit is great XD HOWEVER...even though you have the pose down well and it fits the perspective of the roof (which is one of the biggest pitfalls)...it looks a bit odd that he's sitting on the angle of the roof with his leg pointing sideways. I know he's leaning on the one arm, but just for balance, I would think he'd be sitting on the roof with his legs pointing down the slope, not across, just for stability. As in, the way you drew him would more suit sitting on the right part of the roof.
It's coming along so nicely I hate to say anything at all ^ ^;;
One small additional note is that the collarbones are very straight as you have them; they have a weird bit of curve. I wouldn't draw them as sharply curved as they are here, but a slight parenthesis shape with a dip at the end might look a little more natural.

Havva good week!

Sorry about that, I've felt like posting a lot recently. I'm happy that you even try keeping up with me since I have the opposite of a one track mind and I can move at absurd speeds sometimes. Don't worry about following up on my old posts and comments. There are always new conversations to have.

Thanks, and I'm still sorry to hear that your Thanksgiving didn't go well. It kind of makes me feel guilty that I was having a mostly good time. (The gym could have been better on Sunday. It was crowded and someone broke one of the machines, but at least there was a nice torso to stare at when I did my last set on the leg press.)

I'm not sure if I'm making progress with being sociable or not. I usually get along with my sister, so I don't feel she counts, and I can do what feels like being superficially sociable while at work. Simple things like going for a walk just aren't as fun without someone to hear my strange, hopefully witty comments.

Yeah, I name my computers. The previous computer I built was named Teletraan1. I'm not sure if I'll like using a tablet either (The stylus feels really weird in my hands), but I figured I should try.

Don't worry about criticizing my art. I post it here because I want people to comment on it and say how they feel I could improve. (I'm going to have to start using tags more so my art posts are easier for people to find). You're clearly trying to be helpful, I trust you, and I value your honesty.

I actually got the perspective right? Wow. That was one of the things I was sure you would say needed work.

The pose is kind of odd, and I'll have to find a way to fix the problem without starting over. Moving the building would probably be easier than moving my character.

I do need to work on drawing collarbones better. Thanks for the tip.

I hope you have a good week too.
