Well, that messes with my plans a bit

I learned that I can get a $3400 tax credit if I buy or order a 2010 Fusion hybrid by the end of March, and that I can get a $7500 tax credit for a house (I'd have to pay it back, so it's essentially a zero interest loan) if I close by the end of June.

My plan was to get the house first and use the equity I'd have in it to help pay for the car. I think that's still doable, but it significantly reduces my timetable if I want to qualify for both tax credits.

In fitness related news, my bodyfat seems to be hovering at about 10%. Getting abs by AC should still be possible if I make a few tweaks to my diet.

Psh, I saw the house purchase "credit" too and dropped it like a hot potato as soon as I heard it had to be paid back. 9.9

If I ran the numbers right, it may give me a slightly better mortgage payment, even with the $50 or so I'd pay back each month. The big financial bailout bill is supposed to eliminate the need to pay it back, and rumors are circulating that it could double the credit, too.

Hrm. But I REALLY want my refund (getting a BIG one this year for once) so I may not wait around for it.

Oh, and also...abs good! Have fun with that!

I can imagine it would be a decent size since you can claim interest paid for your mortgage as a deduction. I think I said that right.

Abs very good, even if having less bodyfat means I feel the cold for once.
