Ask a silly question

exatronI was the center of an amusing sequence of events at work on Friday.
A new team member was brought on to the project to replace someone who was leaving. Part of this involved transferring a few files over from the corporate desktop he was using to the laptop the previous team member used.
Upon discovering that the laptop was having network problems, he asked if we had anything to transfer his mail file with. I then asked how big the file was, and began searching for a floppy disk in the bag for my laptop.
When I produced the disk, his reponse was that his laptop didn't have a floppy drive. So, I reached back into the bag for my laptop's floppy drive. (The company provided us with laptops to use for our jobs, and four of them are the same model.)
Right as I pulled out the floppy drive, another coworker says, "What? Are you going to pull out a floppy Drive now?"
"Did you think that I wouldn't?," I answered as I deftly set the drive on my desktop.
