It's amazing what surprises people
Dec. 28th, 2006 08:35 amI went to the store this morning after realizing I didn't have any grapefruit and needed a few other food items anyway.
When I paid, I was supposed to get $2.33 in change, but the self-checkout gave me $11.33 instead. I told the cashire what happened. It took a minute to explain that I got a one and a ten instead of two ones since the machines are normally good about distributing the right amounts.
The cashire was surprised I'd tell somebody about that since most people would have walked off with the extra cash. It never occurred to me to take it since it wasn't mine.
