My weekend was busy, but really great, and the rest of last week wasn't bad either.

I had to rake a huge pile of leaves on Sunday thanks to a windstorm knocking everything out of the trees. Thankfully, it wasn't too much of a task because I've been doing the whole fitness thing.

I was able to turn up the stereo because I wanted to rather than to drown out noise. At some points I actually found myself singing along to the music and had an extra spring in my step.

I even did some real cooking (technically baking) and made an apple pie. I almost did the unthinkable by modifying my maternal grandmother's recipe, but common sense won out. The crust was a bit overworked (I always have trouble making the crust), but the filling was nice and tart.

My family celebrated my grandmother's birthday on Sunday, and she was in a great mood. She didn't even try to nitpick or meddle.

My personal trainer let me be a guinea pig for one of the gym's new fitness evaluation machines. The results were interesting. My body is supposedly in the condition of someone who is 32 years old, mostly because the flexibility portion of the evaluation was based on the one area where I have never been flexible- touching my toes.

New art will come shortly. My first idea got sidetracked by a second idea that I want to see if I can finish quickly. That and I have more time tomorrow since it's a client holiday.

Reposting this because I messed up the settings last time.
