Today was both good and bad
Aug. 18th, 2005 09:14 pmI was invited to lunch today to celebrate the recent round of promotions at work; unfortunately, the restaurant was located near one of Metro Detroit's worst intersections- the point where Telegraph, Northwestern Highway, Eleven Mile, I-696, and M-10 meet. It took me so long to get to the place that I barely had time to eat and never did find out if I was one of the people who got promoted.
At least I was able to do something nice at the end of the day. When I had nearly completed the trek across the parking lot, I found that one of my coworkers had a flat tire. Unfortunately, the person who worked on his car last put on the wrong lugnuts and his tire iron couldn't remove them. Thankfully, I was like two spaces away and we were able to use my tire iron to get his spare attached.
